Description
Sunrize Desiccated Coconut - The white flesh of the coconut is made into a pulp and then dried and sieved to produce dried desiccated coconut. A good source of iron and selenium.
The Sunrize Fact-ory
In some parts of the world, trained monkeys are used to harvest coconuts. Training schools for monkeys still exist in southern Thailand. Competitions are held each year to discover the fastest harvester.
Usage
baking and to sprinkle over curries and fruit salads.

Dessicated coconut is obtained from the dried pulp of fresh coconuts. Try it in home baking with red glace cherries to make a fantastic cherry and coconut cake, or just sprinkle over mild curries such as Korma.
