Description Sunrize Black Cumin - a peppery nutmeg flavour and darker and sweeter than ordinary cumin.
The Sunrize Fact-ory Black Cumin has been traced back more than 3,000 years to the kingdom of the Assyrians and ancient Egyptians. A bottle of black cumin oil was found in the tomb of King Tutankhamun, perhaps to protect the ruler in the afterlife.
Usage Great for curries, dalls, byrianis and tandoori dishes.
Storage Requirements Store in a cool dry place and once opened keep in an airtight container for no more than 6 months.
On the Label Black Cumin is grown and used extensively in Northern India. It is also sometimes known as ‘Imperial Cumin’ and is not to be confused with nigella which is often called black cumin in the West. It is used in many different dishes and aften as a garnish.
